Espresso Dial-In
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 3 August 2026. Last updated: 3 August 2026.
Espresso Dial-In (“the App”, “we”) is a local-first espresso dial-in logger. This policy explains what data is involved when you use the App or this website (including the waitlist).
1. Summary
- Shot logs and photos stay on your device. We do not sync them to our servers in the current product.
- If you create an account, we process your email (and related auth identifiers) to sign you in.
- If you subscribe to Pro, Apple/Google and RevenueCat process purchase and entitlement data.
- If you join the waitlist on this site, we store your email to notify you about launch.
- Camera and photo library access is optional, only for attaching cup or bean bag photos to local shots.
2. Data we process
2.1 On your device (local)
The App stores shot history (for example coffee name, grind, dose, yield, time, notes, rating, category) and optional photos in local app storage on your device. This data is not uploaded to Espresso Dial-In cloud storage in the current MVP.
2.2 Account (if you sign in)
To use Pro after the free allowance, you may create an account. We use Supabase Auth to process email/password credentials and session tokens. Account purpose: bind subscription entitlement and restore purchases. It is not used to host or sync your shot log in the current product.
2.3 Waitlist (this website)
If you submit the waitlist form, we store your email address so we can message you about Android/iOS availability. You can request deletion by emailing support.
2.4 Purchases and subscriptions
Paid Pro subscriptions are sold through Google Play and/or the App Store. Payment card data is handled by Apple or Google, not by us. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements.
2.5 Device permissions
With your permission, the App may access the camera or photo library so you can attach photos to a local shot.
3. Processors
- Supabase — authentication and waitlist storage
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management
- Google Play / Apple — billing for store subscriptions
- Vercel — hosting this website and privacy-friendly Web Analytics (page views)
4. Retention & rights
Local shot data stays until you delete it or clear app data. Account and waitlist emails are kept until you request deletion, subject to short backups and legal retention where required. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal data. Contact support@espressodialin.app.
